The destruction of Sodom is so complete that there are almost no remains at all, almost no evidence that the city ever existed. It is located at the boarder of the Dead Sea, interestingly at the lowest point geographically on the face of the earth. I wonder if God was making a point as it relates to the actions of both the people of Sodom and Lot and his family. Lot seemed to espouse the sentiment of ?if you can?t beat them, join them.? A sad commentary on his faith that would ultimately cost him his family.
