Our Mission
Mission: Equipping people to live a pleasing life before God. Helping people to discover their God-given talents, and to fulfill the purpose for which they were created.
Vision: We see an expanding ministry that impacts and influences our city first, then our province, nation, and the world according to the concepts taught by our Lord. We see a church that is unified by love, strengthened by God?s Spirit and growing as God gives the increase. We see a church that is developing worshipers, whose sole purpose is to please the Lord in everything they do.
Focus: We see our city as our first priority to be evangelized through the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. We also embrace Israeli missions and support several local ministries.
VALUES
The following values are part of every decision we make and every direction we take. These values permeate our thinking on every level:
The Local Church: The local church consisting of God?s people is the center of God's plan, attention and love. It is His answer to the issues and needs of the world He created.
Praise & Worship: Music shapes the soul of a society and dominates its atmosphere; therefore we value music as worship to God and as the voice to this generation.
Excellence: Anything worth doing is worth doing in a manor pleasing to God. We do and give our best to the Lord at all times.
Creativity: The continuous reliance on the Holy Spirit to show new ways to express the Gospel that brings a fresh approach to every endeavor.
Synergy: The sum of the whole is greater than that of its parts. We are, and do, more as a community, empowered by God's Spirit, than we could ever do individually. The more of us there are, the greater the impact we can all have. God commands His blessing on unity.
Grace: We are continually grateful for the unmerited favor of God. We must view the world and each other through eyes of grace, based on God's love and favor.
Potential: We value the presence of the Lord in every Christian and strive to release it.
Reciprocity: What goes around comes around, or the rule of sowing and reaping. We value reciprocity and seek to sow what we wish to receive.
Generosity: We value generosity as a way of life, a philosophy of ministry, and the basis on which
Relevance: Showing the Message of the Gospel in a way that will capture the imagination of our time.
Growth: We believe growth numerically is unimportant and only those the Father brings to us will remain with us, becoming part of us.
Life-Giving Message: We highly value a life-giving approach to ministry that feeds, instructs, encourages, and uplifts God's people. We believe that it is our job to catch the fish and Holy Spirit's job to clean them. Our prayer is that through a life-giving approach to ministry, people will willingly submit to God's way of doing and being right in his eyes.
These are the most prominent values we share in Calvary Grace and they have served us well. The culture that is shaped by these important choices is one of productivity, freedom, joy, and passion. We see Calvary Grace as the house of the Lord, the place where we meet with God.
